R. Bailey Allen is currently the Director of Modern Music & Worship at Grace United Methodist Church in Indiana, Pennsylvania.  Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia he has been writing songs and getting to know the guitar for nearly 2/3 of his life.  The son of a pastor, Bay knew of Jesus and what He had done from an early age; yet, as often is the case with those brought up in any kind of sheltered enviornment...he had to see the grass on the other side for himself to find out first hand that not only was the grass not greener, the dogs were meaner too. 

Upon graduating high school Bay went on to perform at the Lost Colony in Manteo, NC which led him to the Virginia Opera, all of this before attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania to pursue a degree in Theatre in 1998 where he met his wife, Mary.  Bay & Mary said their vows July 17th, 2004 and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Kailey Ruth Allen in September of 2006. 

Bay's influences range from Bach to Bob Dylan, Ani DiFranco to Audio Adrenaline, Jason Mraz to Jimmy Needham, Shane & Shane, Polarboy, Paul Baloche, Building 429, Sanctus Real, Jars of Clay, Monk & Neagle, Jennifer Knapp, Planetshakers, Casting Crowns,  and a list too numerous to mention them all.
